TrustMate is a tool used for collecting, managing, and analyzing product reviews. With the available plugin in the system, you can fully automate the process of acquiring long and valuable reviews, which have a positive impact on the ranking of your goods in search results.

How to set up the integration?

Before launching the plugin, please register a free TrustMate account.

  1. Log in to your BaseLinker panel.
  2. In the top right corner, click on the username and go to the My Account → API and copy your unique token.
  3. Log in to the TrustMate panel and navigate to the Integrations section, which is available in the left-side menu.
  4. From the horizontal list at the top of the page, select Platforms and then find BaseLinker.
  5. Paste the token you previously copied into the field labeled BaseLinker API Key.
  6. Go back to the BaseLinker panel and navigate to the Integrations tab. Then, click on the green “Add Integration” button.
  7. Find TrustMate on the list, click on “Activate” and… That’s it! 🙂

How it works

The configuration of the tool needs to be done directly on the TrustMate platform. The integration allows for the transmission of order status change information to be sent to the plugin-defined endpoint, enabling automatic sending of review invitations after a specified period of time.

TrustMate integration is supported by their technical team. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact them directly via email at support@trustmate.io.

How to display reviews once they are collected?

You can display reviews using widgets. You can find them in the “Integrations” tab in the TrustMate panel. Simply copy the widget code and place it in your store. If you have a store on one of the platforms supported by TrustMate, you can use a ready-made plugin that embeds the widgets without the need for manual code intervention.

Managing invitations sent to customers

After activating the integration, it will work automatically. You don’t need to do anything else. You can manage the invitation settings in the “Invitations” tab in the TrustMate panel.

Conflict with other plugins

If the integration with BaseLinker is enabled, and you have an active integration with a plugin for your store, make sure to disable invitation sending in that plugin. If both the BaseLinker application and the invitation plugin have sending enabled, invitations will be generated twice.

Do I need product feeds to send invitations to customers?

Yes, you should upload the product feed in XML format to the TrustMate panel (Settings → Products).
